About
Lindsay grew up in Pittsburgh, PA where she began studying classical ballet and modern dance. She was certain from a very young age that she wanted to dance professionally. Lindsay studied at the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase College where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. Upon graduating Lindsay moved to Manhattan where she performed with several small modern dance companies and also began taking an interest in the yoga practice. Lindsay completed a Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Vida NYC in 2011 and immediately starting teaching and seeking out advanced trainings. She shifted her focus away from performing and deeper into her practice. In 2012 she started practicing Ashtanga Yoga with Eddie Stern which significantly shaped her practice as well as her teaching. Later, she became a lead teacher in Yoga Vida’s teacher training and eventually took on a role as manager of training programing at the studio. She developed several advanced trainings for existing teachers and acted as a mentor in Yoga Vida’s Mentorship program for new teachers.
In 2015 Lindsay took her first of several trips to Mysore, India to study under Paramaguru R. Sharath Jois, and in 2017 he granted her a Level II Authorization. Lindsay continued to practice with Eddie Stern regularly through 2021. During that time she taught at Eddie’s school, Brooklyn Yoga Club, where she led their beginner programing as well as Mysore and Led classes. She went on to develop her own Mysore programs at several locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
In an effort to diversify her understanding of health and well being Lindsay enrolled at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and graduated as a Health Coach in 2019.
Lindsay currently lives Cold Spring, New York with her husband and their beautiful American Fox Hound rescue pup, June. She has a daily self-practice and regularly seeks out guidance from teachers of various disciplines including yoga, massage, pilates & personal trainers. While there is magic in leading a group led class, Lindsay has focused her efforts in teaching students in a private setting. This allows her to support her students in developing a sustainable practice as well as independence and confidence to create their own self-practice.
